Porno threatens to clog up Japanese mobile network.
In Japan (日本) they use their mobile phones for almost everything. They use their phones for watching tv. To pay for groceries. But also for downloading porno. Because of the popularity of sex movies, the mobile phone network threatens to get overoccupied.
The popularity of porno movies is rising so fast that the Japanese telecom company KDDI is afraid that the network might get overoccupied very soon. As reported by the press agency Bloomberg. To prevent this from happening, the KDDI has imposed a limit on heavy downloaders. Another Japanese telecom company, Softbank, was also thinking about establishing a download limitation according to Bloomberg .
Japan was the first country to have a 3G-netwerk, amongst the followers were Holland. But Japan is also the first to see the limits of the mobile capacity. Mobile calling and watching television never seemed to pose a problem, but massively downloading porno seemingly does.
